CIRT launched its 13th Annual National Design & Construction Competition earlier this month as part of a collaborative effort with ACE Mentor Program of America and the Chicago Architecture Center (CAC). The 2019 Competition invites student teams from across the country to propose solutions for one of three challenges:
- a playground/playscape
- alleviate urban transportation congestion; or
- a community health clinic.
This year, the inspiration for the competitors is:
"Ability is what you’re capable of doing. Motivation determines what you do. Attitude determines how well you do it."– Lou Holtz, Legendary Football Coach, Author
Teams are welcome to use the Chicago Architecture Center's online learning platform to collaborate. Students can upload their work, give feedback to each other and share photos, links and other resources as they work through the design process.
